David Kerr Violin Shop, Inc.

David Kerr started his violin shop in 1976, and now has 11 employees and a very large inventory of new instruments and rare antiques. They do all types of repair and restoration work, from rehairing bows to carefully restoring old finishes. They also have a very active rental area.

Web Site

The web site was redesigned in 2004, adding a new look and incorporating Kerr's new logo. The site has an extensive list of many of the instruments for sale in various price ranges, bows and photographs of some of the more interesting instruments. Ease in searching is a priority. There is a listing on the site of small and large orchestras located in the Northwest, which is resourced often, and drives traffic to the site. We recently added an Idaho listing.

The Community Music Center, in conjunction with Kerr's and the Pacific Northwest College of the Arts, recently had art pieces made from discarded instruments. These pieces were auctioned at PNCA. We built a picture gallery for the auction.
